Horror Story: Another Botched Medical Circumcision

Regina woman suing after tip of son’s penis cut off in circumcision:

I don't understand how can people get an M.D. degree when they are incapable of performing a circumcision. Even in some places in Africa an illiterate circumciser is put to death on the spot if he maims the initiate during the procedure.
One would expect higher standards from the medical profession in a first world country, but apparently being more competent than an illiterate bush surgeon is too much to ask.

Snipping the Frenulum

Some debate if the frenulum should be cut even during circumcision. But a tight frenulum can be an accident waiting to happen.

Circumcision and Body Image

Most men value their penises above  almost any other body part (perhaps with the exception of their balls) and want to feel good about it.

Because circumcision changes how a man's penis looks like it has an impact on the owner's body image and self esteem.

Why All The Obsession With Other Men’s Penises?

Circumcision supposed to be a personal matter.
It has health and other benefits but they are mostly limited to the owner of the penis and his sex partners.

Spreading the Misery Around

Why do so called intactivists who were circumcised at birth (thus have no memories of ever having a foreskin) love to perpetuate the idea that having a foreskin is somehow “awesome”?

Apples and Oranges

Describing clitoridectomy and infibulation as “female circumcision” is kind of like describing a beheading as “He has accidentally cut himself shaving.”

It Is Not Meant To Be Torture

Even though circumcision was probably invented as a means to mark the transition to adulthood, and pain was an integral part of the experience, it was never meant to be torture.

Bizarre Implications of the Circumcision Stapler

Apparently in China anyone can just buy a circumcision stapler on the Internet.
And "it is much cheaper than having the procedure done in a hospital" -- Ouch!

Just because you can buy the tools on-line it does not mean you should use them on yourself or your family members.

Check this out: The Fallen Foreskin

Very interesting story about an Indian man finally getting a circumcision at the age of 29 after suffering for over a decade from paraphimosis:
