Sometimes a picture is really worth a thousand words, so here are some.

A proper circumcision should leave the glans completely uncovered even when flaccid.

I had three surgeries because my original circumcision was too high and loose. I wanted a revision to correct it. Unfortunately the first revision did not go too well, I was told that nothing of the sort that I had in mind was possible. I ended up getting another surgery to correct the first revision. It was not funny (and no fun) at all.

All the photos were taken a long time after the second revision.

Really tight circumcision, all the loose skin has been thoroughly removed.
Surprisingly it feels more comfortable than being uncut or loosely cut.

Please note that even after many years of being circumcised my glans is still pink and supple, it did not become dry, leathery or calloused. It is also still sensitive, in fact it is not much different from when I still had my foreskin.

I am sitting on a chain of course everything is bare as it should be.

One important reason for me to get a revision was to make sure that the skin would not slip over the edge of my glans at any time and cause discomfort. People often only consider showing off in the aroused state, but the reality is that your penis spends most of the day in the "resting" position, so it does matter that it should be as comfortable and problem free as possible.

Same chair different body position.
When I used to have a loose cut the skin would slide forward in these situations and cover the edge of my glans causing a very awkward sensation.
I am very happy that I had that fixed, a proper circumcision should always leave the glans completely uncovered.

Also those who get circumcised for the looks should consider that most of the time you are showing off in public (showers, locker rooms, etc.) you are going to be flaccid, so if you care about looks you should care about how it looks when it is just hanging or even shrunken.

My glans is completely uncovered even when my penis is shriveled up.

Of course one needs enough skin to accommodate an erection comfortably, there should be no pain and the movement of the penis (up, down, left, right) should not be restricted by the skin.

Circumcising a grower penis poses a particular challenge. Because it changes so much in size,
it is difficult to trim the skin so that it does not cover the glans even when the penis is at is smallest,
yet there is enough skin left for a comfortable erection.

Of course even a grower is not shrunken all the time, especially in a warm environment it can just hang the same way as a shower does.

No folded skin even when flaccid, the glans, the rim of the glans and the sulcus are fully uncovered.
This provides the best hygiene and the most sensation.

It also looks very clean and healthy because there is no enclosed space where germs could hide.

A circumcised penis is not a mutilated organ.
If one did not have the background knowledge that men are born with an extra fold of skin at the end of their penises
why would anyone who looks at this assume that it needed extra components to function?
I feel perfectly healthy and whole (and even upgraded) without my foreskin.

I little bit on the topic of imperfections. Some people want everything to be perfect (and if you have paid a lot of money for it you should expect quality). My circumcision scar is about as good quality as one can reasonably expect from an adult circumcision. But I do have a bit of unevenness on the underside and one side has more scarring than the other. I do not think it looks bad or makes me look disfigured so I am fine with it. The point is that sometimes you do have to leave good enough alone. Circumcision is surgery and you are going to have some scarring. If it is particularly ugly or causes discomfort seek medical help, but don't try to fix it if it is not really broken.

A bit of imperfection, this side has a bit of uneven scarring.

But scars are supposed to be manly.

The underside. Yes, my scar line is a bit uneven, but after three surgeries I am not going to obsess over that.

A close up of my frenulum area. I personally think that the frenulum should always be removed if one is getting a circumcision but some people insist on keeping it. Unfortunately the frenulum can snap causing a blood bath, so it is a lot safer to get rid of it. Also not having a "string" pulling on the most delicate part of your penis makes your life much easier. Another common problem is that doctors don't actually remove the frenulum, just cut it, and let the butchered pieces dangle which really does look awkward. The little extra effort to trim all the pieces away and leave the area smooth really makes a big difference.

This is where my frenulum used to be.
The actual "banjo string" was completely removed, all remnants trimmed off to a smooth finish.

Contrary to the popular belief I can still feel it when clothing, bedsheets, towels, etc. touch the glans of my circumcised penis. It is actually a pleasant sensation. No, just touching the glans does not cause sexual arousal (it would be interesting to walk around all day if it did).

If you are not circumcised you can still experience some of this if you keep your foreskin retracted at all times, but it is somewhat different than not having a foreskin at all.

My towel picture that I sometimes use to demonstrate the idea that this actually feels good.

Just relaxing.
