Circumcision candidates who endure the pain without showing any signs of weakness are feted as heroes. Those who do otherwise, by crying out or touching the hand of the omushebi, are considered cowards bringing bad luck to the community. They are fined heavily.

Interesting to see the African attitude toward circumcision pain while in developed countries people walk to a hospital to have their frenulum snipped under anesthesia as if they were marching to their own execution. Different cultures just have different definitions of masculinity.

Circumcision isn't Natural

I agree, circumcision is not natural.
So what? Natural is overrated.
The whole idea behind having a circumcision is that a little customization can make your dick much better than the standard issue model.

Yet another doctor who cut off the whole penis instead of the foreskin:

I don't understand how can people get an M.D. degree when they are incapable of performing a circumcision. Even in some places in Africa an illiterate circumciser is put to death on the spot if he maims the initiate during the procedure.
One would expect higher standards from the medical profession in a first world country, but apparently being more competent than an illiterate bush surgeon is too much to ask.
