Danish Nanny State On Circumcision

A Danish group says petition seeking to set a minimum age of 18 for non-medical male circumcision in the country has gathered the required 50,000 signatures to send the proposal to Parliament for debate later this year.

So if you live in Denmark and you want to get a circumcision when you are 16 the government says that you cannot, even if you parents would agree.

And this is supposed to be somehow the protection of your rights? More like the government making your decisions for you.

Adult Male Circumcision Can Reduce Hiv Transmission

"Three randomised studies in countries with high HIV rates - South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda - have confirmed that male adult medical circumcisions can reduce HIV transmission from women to men by as much as 60 per cent, and from men to women by about 15 per cent. This significant reduction in HIV transmission also correlates with the reduction in transmission of other sexually transmitted diseases such as syphilis, herpes, hepatitis and HPV (Human Papilloma Virus)."

Check this out: Circumcision Revision

"When not enough of the foreskin is removed during the original circumcision, it results in a condition known as redundant foreskin. It is also considered the outcome of an “incomplete circumcision.” When the penis is flaccid, the foreskin will still cover the glans, so the organ appears as if it is uncircumcised.
For families who chose circumcision this defeats the purpose of the original procedure. Plus, though the foreskin is not entirely removed, it is shortened. This can lead to discomfort, rubbing and a build up of scar tissue, with a heightened risk of phimosis as your child grows."

Check this out: More Men Wish They Were Circumcised

"The truth is, as a physician, it’s very hard to see where activists are getting this distorted view foreskin free male genitalia. Over the years, I’ve discussed this with a number of adult Urology docs and they all say the same thing: “many more men come in wishing they were circumcised than men who show up with problems related to circumcision as an infant.

Circumcision and Labiaplasty

Opponents of male circumcision often claim that it should be banned and use the ban on FGM as an excuse to demand “equal rights for men”.

"It's because we want to be honest about the past while we fight the nonsense that is spread about medical circumcision in the present: whether it's the persistent anti-circumcision activist claim that numbing medication still isn't used in the U.S.; that pain control methods are universally not effective for circumcision pain; or, more laughably, that babies who receive pain control don't cry because they're in 'neurogenic shock;" or, taking a page from the anti-vaccination activists, that newborn circumcision pain leads to later-life autism, depression, anger, violence, sexual dysfunction, etc., etc."
