Do not try this at home: Attempted Self Circumcision Ends in an ER

An electrical engineering student in Slovakia tried to solve his redundant foreskin problem by performing his own circumcision, but he ended in up going going to a hospital in the middle of the procedure.

While the story did not end in tragedy it does highlight that people underestimate the difficulty of performing surgery on yourself.

In spite of careful planning, because of his lack of knowledge in in the field of medicine and surgery, he used completely unsuitable tools and materials. He used non-medical instruments such as razor blades and straight needles, ha also tried to suture with wires from some electronic device as suture thread (it sounds like a really shitty suture material).

Also anesthesia was completely inadequate for the fairly complicated procedure he has attempted. He also could not control bleeding properly.

Fortunately he had the good sense to go to a hospital and seek professional help when things started to go south.

People, please have some common sense and don't try to perform surgery on yourselves especially if you don't understand even the basics of what you are trying to do, and you don't even have any idea how the tools to do it properly supposed to look like.

PLEASE DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!
